I am telling details about Baconsthorpe Castle such as:
A destroyed, fortified manor house close to the village of Baconsthorpe, Norfolk, England, Baconsthorpe Castle, formerly known as Baconsthorpe Hall, is located there. On the site of a former manor hall, it was built in the 15th century, most likely by John Heydon I and his father, William. John built a tall, fortified mansion because he was an ambitious lawyer with many adversaries. However, when his descendants became prosperous sheep farmers and were less concerned about being attacked, they turned the property into a more charming courtyard residence with an adjacent deer park.
I am also telling you the history of Bacosthorpe Castle for example:
In 1623, Sir William, Christopher's eldest son, received ownership of Baconsthorpe. However, Sir William went away four years later while on the Île de Ré expedition, leaving Sir John III, his younger brother, in charge. When civil war broke out in 1642, John rose to the position of Lieutenant-General of the Ordnance and supported King Charles I in battle. In reaction, Parliament took his lands, and in 1646 he was labelled a delinquent. He regained ownership of his lands, but in 1650 he started demolishing Baconsthorpe in order to sell the stones. John III left the castle to his son Charles Heydon when he passed away in bankruptcy in 1653. Charles Heydon continued to get rid of the stone, selling 29 cartloads the following year for £30 to be used at Felbrigg Hall.
William Heydon III, the younger brother of Charles, sold the land to Mr Bridges and later to Dr Zurishaddai Lang, who resided in the outside gatehouse. The estate was purchased by the Norfolk landowner John Thruston Mott in 1801, and the gatehouse as used up until 1920 when one of the turrets collapsed. The mere had been emptied after being filled with water in 1839. Sir Charles Mott-Radclyffe, a politician, donated the castle's grounds to the Ministry of Public Works in 1940. Before the site was made public, it was cleaned of ivy and other vegetation, the stonework was consolidated, and an archaeological investigation was conducted. In 1972, the mere was dredged, filled, and more archaeological research was done. In the twenty-first century, Baconsthorpe Castle is administered by English Heritage and is protected by UK legislation as a scheduled monument and a Grade I and Grade II listed building.
I also take the info about the architecture for example:
On the ruins of a raised causeway, one approaches Bacons Thorpe Castle from the south. It is situated north of Baconthorpe village in a valley created by the River Glaven. To the north are a moated inner court and a mere, and to the south are an outer and outermost court. Although it is now mostly used for arable farming, the surrounding area served as a sheep pasture during the 16th century. The remnant earthworks of a formal garden on a raised platform, measuring 80 by 65 meters (262 by 213 ft) across, are to the southeast, off the inner court. A raised path circled a 35 by 32-meter (115 by 105-foot) square pond in the garden. I also enjoy my journey and especially thanks to the cab hire service from the company.
