Aydon Castle, formerly known as Aydon Hall, is a fortified manor house in the English county of Northumberland, close to the town of Corbridge. It is a Grade I listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument, according to English Heritage. And I am telling you the history of Aydon Castel for example:

Hugh de Rhymes, a significant Suffolk trader, bought the estate between 1293 and 1295. In an effort to elevate his social status and influence, he purchased the property from the estate of a poor neighbour. After Hugh de Raymes passed away in 1295, the estate was not released for sale until 1296 due to legal issues. Robert, Hugh de Raymes's son, assumed control of the property and moved his family to Aydon Hall to make it his principal residence.

 Robert is known to have served in Scotland between 1297 and 1298 during the Scottish Wars of Independence, therefore it was thought that his relocation was motivated by prospects there. Robert is thought to have fought at the Battle of Falkirk in 1298 against William Wallace's Scottish army. 

Robert started building the first stone building as soon as he got back from fighting in Scotland. An earlier wooden building with a two-story room block might be found in Aydon. Following the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314, the military and political position of the English in Northumberland deteriorated rapidly. 

The governor of Aydon Castle submitted to the besieging army in 1315, leading to the castle's capture by the Scots. Following the garrison's surrender, the Scots extensively damaged, burned, and pillaged Aydon Castle. In an effort to steal what the Scots had left, English attackers extensively devastated the stronghold in 1317. Robert de Raymes, the owner of Aydon Castle, had been taken prisoner at Bannockburn, and the destruction of his house and the 500-mark ransom he had paid for his release had left him bankrupt. 

Robert left behind little when he passed away in 1324. The estate was now regarded as being worthless. I also tell you about the Aydon Castel After Robert de Raymes's passing, the castle was given to his son, also named Robert de Rhymes. The defences that had been damaged when the estate was taken over were repaired and improved upon by Robert II. Nicholas de Raymes acquired ownership of the land upon the death of Robert II de Raymes in 1349. Nicholas made an effort to restore the family's former prosperity, but by the fifteenth century, he was obliged to sell the estate.

Aydon was sold and bought numerous times, but not much altered until the 17th century. The castle was used as a farmhouse after that. It was George Bates' home at the beginning of the 19th century. I really enjoy my all journey especially thanks to the WGA Cars to give me cab hire service.-+
